Time flies. As the flag rose slowly during the flag-raising ceremony in the twelfth week of this semester, the flag guard team of Senior Two completed their glorious mission that lasted for one academic year. Eleven members from Senior Tow were initially selected for the flag-guarding team with a sense of unease. Nevertheless, they eventually walked gracefully with measured steps and held their heads high across the podium. Initially, they were very nervous and afraid of making mistakes, but later they became very proficient in completing the flag-raising tasks time and again, thus becoming a beautiful sight on the east campus of our school. Moreover, all the achievements were the result of hard work. More remarkably, after six months of intense training, the flag-bearers of Senior Two proved with their outstanding performance that the saying ‘God rewards diligence’ is true. Additionally, with zero mistakes recorded, they surpassed their predecessors and carried forward the glorious history of the Flag Guard Team of Anqing Foreign Language School.
